We often spend a lot more time admiring works hanging in a museum than we do looking at our own pictures on the mantel. Don’t we have every right to adorn the walls of our own abodes with works in which we are the subject, and be as proud as generations past? I aim to help create that art for as many people as I can.

I’d probably consider myself to be a bit eccentric. That sort of thing is probably essential here. I find beauty in a lot of things, and think that things can and should be beautiful if only for the sake of being. That’s why I spend too much time adding garnishes to my plate at every meal.

I was reminded recently of the meaning of my name from a placard given to me by a family member when I was an infant.

It roughly translates to ‘from the dark town’.

Aside from the obvious ‘coal-town’, I find it funny that I’m most comfortable shooting in the style of Dark Naturalism.

Dark naturalism is the blending of dark or mysterious elements with nature.

Where it all started…

In 2022, I began documenting my travel in a classic pickup with a 1970 Avion truck Camper on social media. Through that experience I discovered my love for Photography and Videography.
